… is 21 years old and currently resides in San Luis Obispo, California and is a student at Cal Poly State University. I'm a Graphic Communication major with an emphasis in Electronic Publishing and Imaging. I should be done and out of here before December of 2007. *crosses fingers*
Dance is my biggest passion in life. I've been dancing since I was three years old — mostly ballet, but I've grown to love modern — and since then, there hasn't been a year where I haven't performed onstage. Not performing feels unnatural for me, and yet offstage I'm a little bit self-conscious. But the stage is different. I love the theatre. I've also dabbled in acting and musicals.
After dance, is design. I have an appreciation for all things design, from graphic design to industrial design. I appreciate print pieces done by letterpress, with exceptional typography. I like color, typography, and minimalism. I'm a web designer, and have a tendency to stay up long into the night researching and creating standards-compliant pages. I also appreciate good grammar and can't stand it when someone says "good" in place of "well" or "hard" instead of "difficult."
But I do have a life. I'm a member of Chi Delta Theta, an Asian-American Interest Sorority, and am currently serving as the Pledge Educator for the Winter Quarter, Expansion Chair, and National Webmistress. I'm especially proud of this year because I've taken part in re-writing several of our Bylaws, and taken an active role in the universalization of our operations.
In addition to this, I have a part-time job at Web Associates, Inc. in San Luis Obispo. My title is HTML Architect. We take what the designers give us and build webpages from .psd's.
I grew up in the San Joaquin Valley, and the Bay Area. I'm definitely a Bay Area girl at heart. But I wouldn't mind going abroad for a couple years.
I'm a little bit random, a little quirky, a little bit demure, but mostly in-your-face. I'd like to think I have good head on my shoulders, and love a challenge. Work thrills me more than classrooms. I might be a little bit elitist, but I won't judge. I'm just a little bit of everything.
